Lady Peak

For something different from Cheam Mountain, try Lady Peak.

From the same trail head as Cheam Mountain, Lady Peak follows the welcome switchbacks of the Cheam Mountain trail through fields of wild flowers until turning skyward, doing it's best impression of  Stairway to Heaven. Gaining over 500 meters in about a kilometer means this hike is steep, steep, steep!

A short, easy section of scrambling leads to a talus slope that carries you to the rocky ridge line. From there, some easy transitions get you to the highest point, an airy rock with sheer cliffs on either side. I did my best to stand on the peak, but strong winds made it difficult. Views from anywhere near the top are incredible!
