Dean Hebert Photography

Fine Art Landscape Photography of the Fraser Valley and beyond

About Me

Hi, my name is Dean Hebert, and in 2009, my wife thought it would be a good idea to buy me a camera for my birthday. I'd been bugging her for one for awhile but we never seemed to have the cash. I don't think she realized how much time I would be spending with my new hobby ( or maybe she did ). Every day there seems to be something new to photograph and another lesson in how little I know about photography.  Living in the Fraser Valley provides ample opportunities to witness a full range of scenery and wildlife close to home.

I've always felt a connection with nature and photography has reawakened my desire to explore the natural world around me.

Two of my photos have been selected as "Photo of the Month" by Robert Berdan, of The Canadian Nature Photographer. My photo "A Nightmare in Ice " was selected as the winner of the February editor's assignment of Outdoor Photography Canada and appeared in their magazine. It was later chosen as the editor's assignment "Photo of the Year" grand prize winner.
