This is such a great hike that it cracks the top 5 for a second time.
The beginning of the trail until it crosses a small stream seems to be a prime bear area as there is lots of sign. Climb over the forested ridge and emerge on the northern slope. The trail leads steadily upwards to gain the upper plateau between Jim Kelly and Illal Mountain.
The wind was intense and I had to wait for small breaks to photograph the wild flowers. There was some great light on Coquihalla Mountain and I was able to capture one of my favourite photos.
With more to see in this area I'm sure I'll be back.
