If you're ready for a challenge then this is the hike for you! 1800 meters of elevation gain over 9+ kilometers of trail means this trail does nothing but go up. Thankfully the forest keeps your interest and the trail lets you put one foot in front of the other. It takes awhile but once you reach the treeline it all becomes worth it. At the end of June the slopes are filled with flowers and the surrounding peaks fade into the distance. The last push before the summit is a grind up a talus field. For those fearless few you can scramble up a short rise to the summit. With clouds blowing by I decided to give it a try next time.
